For those who are wondering (and want to compare to N's characters) I've included the first initial (and included the second letter if there are 2 of the same) of the real life person along with their inspired characters. I put a lot of thought into these names... I think they reflect on their real counterparts quite well!
K- Kaya ("nature" in Sanskrit, or as one of the sites quotes: "the sea; restful place, yew tree, forgiveness; home; stone; willow, wise child" in a mix of Japanese, Zulu, Turkish, Hopi and Hindi)
N- Nella (a variation of Nelly "the bright one" in Greek)
L- Lae (dark in Laos)
V- Vera (truth in Latin/Slavic)
D- Drew (wise in Welsh)
E- Evelyn (lively, pleasant in Celtic)
T- Thistle (do I really have to explain this one?)
Sh- Shela (musical in Celtic)
Ne- Natalie (dear, Native or birthday in various languages)
Sa- Scarlet (once again, do I have to explain?)
C- Catherine (pure in Greek)
J- Jen (variation of Jenell meaning knowledge and understanding in German)
H- Hillary (cheerful in Latin)
G- Gerad (strange understanding of other people in unknown language)
M- Marc (variation of Mark meaning warlike, hammer, defender) I took a lot of liberties changing his personality...
K2 (K's little brother)- Kadin (friend or companion in Arabic)
Any characters that aren't put beside an initial are characters that I've made up totally. (Like Maury in the Prologue)
